QUALITY MANAGER

Individual is responsible for the management of Quality activities for the Merrimack, NH site. This position is responsible for supporting customers in their applications requirements, problem solving, etc. Will handle all daily activities related to Quality functions- Interfacing with Sales, Marketing, and Production. The candidate must have 5 + years experience in Project/Product Quality management; a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering; prior experience in a Manager/Supervisory role preferred; and expert knowledge of ISO-9001, QS-9000 standards and quality management principals and practices. A Background in meeting the customers’ requirements/expectations in fast paced highly technical applications; capability to manage complex projects with different processes and different locations; experience in Quality Auditing to QS-9000 and/or ISO-9000 standards-internal and/or external; ASQ-CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and ASQ-CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) or ISO/QS Lead Assessor credentials preferred. MANUFACTURING FINANCIAL ANALYSIS

Facilitates business planning and operational performance via the generation and analysis of financial reports and shop floor reporting. Performs monthly analyzes and reports on performance variances, sales, working capital. Responsible for product cost, assisting in the annual manufacturing plan, assisting in annual audits, analysis of shop floor reports and other various reports. Will be involved in the development of annual cost savings programs, assisting with month end closings, preparing monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations and assisting the site with all Internal Controls issues. Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance; 3 to 5 years experience with cost accounting and financial analysis; broad business experience with demonstrated financial analysis and leadership skills; ability to operate independently and as part of a team; excellent communication skills, written and verbal; and the computer skills necessary to fulfill requirements of the position. R&D MANAGER

Adds value by providing sustainable competitiveness using technical knowledge with supervisory abilities to lead groups of engineers/scientists and technicians for the development and improvement of products and processes in the support of the Coated Fabrics SBU. Identifies, obtains consensus and then pursues new technical directions for the SBU. Will direct multiple projects within Coated Fabrics. Will provide substantial advanced technical expertise and is responsible for outlining, planning, directing and completing the projects within budget and the time required; will work with Operations to address important short term issues and opportunities – quick hitters as well as prepare progress reports and updates to various levels of management. Identifies and acts to protect intellectual property, identifies and then pursues new technical directions for the Sector, across the Sectors, within HPM and other parts of Saint-Gobain. This position is an integral part of the SBU’s business management. With the highest concern for the safety of each employee, will lead groups of engineers, scientists and technicians in several locations to develop new and improved products and processes for the Coated Fabrics business. Taking direction from business management, will provide project proposals using the Sirius stage gate process to the businesses in areas where research and development needs have been identified. Leads R&D efforts to develop new knowledge in technical areas relevant to business goals. Develops a portfolio of projects that is appropriately balanced among exploratory, development and industrialization stages. Promotes innovation and seeks to protect inventions with disclosures and actively manages the intellectual property portfolio with business management. Trains and develops team members to ensure sound methods of scientific work and accurate scientific results. Represents Coated Fabrics by reporting all progress to technical and business management. Makes recommendations

concerning needed future actions. Actively converts new technology into new and/or improved product and processes to achieve profit/market share/productivity/quality objectives. Provides new ideas outside of the typical areas of work. Works across Saint-Gobain seeking and creating value. Develops and adheres to program budgets to promote efficient and cost conscious R&D efforts. Assumes responsibility and executes all administrative for the Coated Fabrics SBU. Requires: demonstrated capabilities in research and development, communication, formal presentations and persuasiveness; advanced level of skills in several technical areas; demonstrated abilities in project and personnel supervision and motivation across multiple locations on three continents; ability to travel as needed to serve business needs and thrive under different cultural environments; and skills and abilities to advance to the next level of management.
