Effective July 1, 2010

The Nashua, NH School District seeks an enthusiastic and energetic Director of Athletics & Wellness who will provide leadership, supervision and coordination for all aspects of the physical education program grades K-12, as well as interscholastic and intramural athletic programs grades 6-12. This position oversees 90 junior and senior varsity teams, 36 middle school teams, and approximately 2,800 participating student athletes, and has the support of a full time assistant athletic director and two secretaries.

The educational needs of our student population of 12,400 is served by our two state of the art high schools integrated with career and technology centers, three middle schools and twelve elementary schools. The successful candidate will possess a Masters’ degree in physical education, school administration or a related field with at least five years successful experience in education, including coaching and/or supervising educational staff. Strong leadership, communication, organizational and public relations skills are highly desired qualifications for this position. Certification as a physical education teacher or school administrator is preferred but not required.
