LABORATORY PROFESSIONALS

Chemistry Supervisor

Position reports directly to the Laboratory Operations Manager. We need a strong leader who will help guide the department during a transition to lab automation and expansion. Supervises, mentors and supports technologists, technicians and administrative staff. Proven abilities to operate, maintain and troubleshoot automated chemistry analyzers. Recent experience with Siemens (Dade/Behring) chemistry analyzers is a plus. Oversees the workload of the automated chemistry department. Plans and schedules employee work assignments. Reviews test and equipment performance, quality assurance and safety activities to ensure efficient, safe and cost-effective operations. Identifies future needs for staff, training, equipment and facilities. Performs routine bench work, equipment maintenance and related tasks as required to manage workload. A BS/BA with MT(ASCP) or equivalent education and certification required. Five years recent supervisory experience in a clinical chemistry laboratory. Familiarity with laboratory information systems, Microsoft Office® applications and typical software programs found in hospitals and clinical laboratories.

Histology Supervisor

Position reports directly to the Laboratory Director. We are looking for a strong leader with vision to expand our outreach and scope of testing. Plans, schedules, assigns and directs the work of the histology and cytology laboratory, serving as the liaison between the laboratory and pathologists. Supervises, mentors and supports histology technologists, technicians and administrative staff. Establish section procedure manuals and protocols. Reviews test and equipment performance, quality assurance and safety activities to ensure efficient, safe and cost-effective operations. Identifies future needs for staff, training, equipment and facilities. HT(ASCP) or equivalent certification required. Five years recent supervisory experience in a histology laboratory. Familiarity with laboratory information systems, Microsoft Office® applications and pathology software programs. Knowledge of Cerner CoPath® software a plus.
